White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has become the latest person in the President’s inner circle to test positive for COVID-19.
32-year-old McEnany, is now the 13th person in Trump’s inner circle who has tested positive after attending the SCOTUS nomination announcement of Amy Coney Barrett in the Rose Garden last Saturday.
McEnany had tested negative last week after the President’s diagnosis, saying she has no symptoms but will begin the quarantine process.
However in a statement posted to Twitter, McEnany said ‘after testing negatively consistently, every day since Thursday, she has now tested positive for COVID-19 while experiencing no symptoms,’.
She said as an essential worker, she has worked diligently to provide needed information to the American people, but that at this time, with her status she will begin the quarantine process and continue working on behalf of the American people.
