MILITARY TROOPS NEUTRALIZE BANDITS IN TARABA

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke operating under Operation Accord deployed at Gbise in Katsina-Ala LGA in Benue State and Sector 4 in Taraba State have conducted a joint commando raid operation at Rafin Kada in Wukari and Yojaa in Donga LGAs of Taraba State, neutralizing four armed militia. 

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by coordinator defence Media operations, Major General John Enenche. 

According to the statement  Items recovered include 2 locally made rifles, 55 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 117 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 3 mobile phones, 3 AK 47 magazines, 2 motorcycles, one military shirt uniform, one Peace Corps ID Card belonging to one Anyor Fidelis and some charms.

The statement disclosed that troops also responded to a distress call from Zaki Biam apprehending a notorious kidnap kingpin Kobo Ishor known as Lesser, an associate of late Terugwa Igbagwa known as Orjondu, the then second most wanted criminal kingpin in Benue State.

The statement added that he was apprehended and is currently undergoing interrogation, to be handed over to the Nigerian Police afterwards for prosecution.
