The Armed Forces of Nigeria has disclosed that Operation Safe Corridor since its inception in 2016 admitted 893 ex-combatants for the Programme
Coordinator defense Media operations, Major General John Enenche disclosed this on Thursday while briefing the Media on the operations of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
General Enenche revealed that the non-kinetic operation is aimed at giving hope to ex-combatants willingly to give up their arms to embrace peace.
According to him, 280 of them, including 2 Chadians, have been successfully reintegrated into the society through their respective national and state authorities.
The Coordinator defense Media operations say there are presently 603 of ex-combatants undergoing the De-Radicalization, and Rehabilitation, DRR Programme and would be graduating by July 2020.
