WE’LL NOT APPEAL OUTCOME OF ‘UNJUST’ SCREENING EXERCISE SAYS OBASEKI

OBASEKI

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki says he will not appeal the outcome of the screening exercise which disqualified him from taking part in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the upcoming governorship poll in Edo State.

Chairman of the APC’s Screening Committee, Professor Jonathan Ayuba, on Friday declared Obaseki unfit to contest in the exercise to choose the APC’s flagbearer along with two others by the party’s Committee.

He made the announcement while briefing the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, and other party chieftains at the National Secretariat on the outcome of the screening exercise.

In a communique issued by his spokesman, Crusoe Osagie, the Governor said he watched what he described as mockery of the democratic process, which “Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is administering and superintending” over in his party, the APC.
