PRESIDENT BUHARI MEETS SERVICE CHIEFS OVER EFFORTS TO CURB BANDITRY

President Muhammadu Buhari met with Service Chiefs today in a closed-door meeting at the State House, Abuja, where he received a Security briefing from them.

After the meeting, the National Security Adviser, Rtd Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno, told State House Correspondents that the President urged the security forces to work together in solving the security challenges in Nigeria.

The National Security Adviser said the President wants the security chiefs to improve on their actions to address the security situations the nation is facing.

According to Monguno, the President charged the office of the NSA to meet with governors of the Northwest states and that of Niger State, for strategic organisation of a response to the Banditry problem in their areas.
