NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT EMBARKS ON EVACUATION OF 162 PERSONS STRANDED IN INDIA

Another set of 246 Nigerian Evacuees from United Arab Emirate, UAE arrived Murtala Muhammed Int’l Airport, Lagos Wednesday evening.

According to Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, the Nigerian Mission in Dubai and the UAE government paid for the flight tickets and the cost of #COVID-19 test for 131 evacuees.

It added that all Evacuees tested Negative to #COVID-19, and so, are now proceeding on 14 days SELF-ISOLATION as mandated Presidential Task Force on #COVID-19.

In a related development, the Nigerian government evacuated a third batch of 162 Nigerians from New Delhi India’s capital.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama disclosed in a statement on Twitter, adding that local airline, Air Peace was used for the evacuation.
