The National Assembly Service Commission, NASC has retired the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori.
Sani-Omolori was retired alongside 149 others in a letter by the Commission.
A report signed by the NASC Executive Chairman, Ahmed Kadi Amshi, said the Commission approved the immediate retirement of staff of the National Assembly Service who have been in service for 35 years or 60 years of age.
The Commission, after its meeting on Wednesday, reversed the amendment by the 8th National Assembly which had through a resolution, raised the retirement period for staff from 35 to 40 years in service and retirement age from 60 to 65 years.
Commission declared any staff who has spent 35 years in service of is 60 should
leave and “retirement letters would be issued to the affected staff accordingly.”
