Nigerian government has impounded a Flair Aviation aircraft, belonging to a company based in the United Kingdom.
This was revealed in a statement on social media by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika.
According to him, Flair Aviation was given approval for humanitarian operations but was caught conducting commercial flights.
Describing the act as callous, and a wrong time to try the country’s resolve, the Aviation Minister said the crew was being interrogated, adding that there shall be maximum penalty.
Recall, the federal government on May 6 extended for another four weeks, the ban placed on flights in the country since March 18 as part of measures to contain the spread of #COVID-19.
