The United Kingdom transport minister Grant Shapps said the UK will impose a 14-day quarantine on all arrivals from France on Saturday.
The government, wary of a second wave of the novel coronavirus, also added the Netherlands, Malta and three other countries to its quarantine list.
Spain and Belgium had already been added in recent weeks.
Shapps mentioned that data shows need to remove France, the Netherlands, Monaco, Malta, Turks and Caicos, Aruba from list of #coronavirus Travel Corridors to keep infection rates DOWN.
Responding to Britain’s decision, French junior minister for European affairs Clement Beaune said he will lead France to take a reciprocal measure.
