Today is World Teachers’ Day, celebrated on the 5th of October every year to celebrate the teaching profession across the world.
The theme for this year is “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future”.
The day also provides an opportunity to draw attention to the voices of teachers, who are at the heart of efforts to attain the global education target of leaving no one behind.

According to the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO says more than ever, we must work with teachers to protect the right to education and guide it into the unfolding landscape brought about by the pandemic.
The organisation urges all to use the #COVID19 crisis as an opportunity to build back equal, saying we must ensure that #LearningNeverStops for all girls, whether it’s from home while schools are closed, or back in the classroom when they reopen.
