Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, has tested positive for coronavirus.
Onyeama, a member of the Presidential Task Force on #COVID-19 disclosed this on his Twitter handle, adding that he was heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he did his fourth Covid-19 test on Saturday at the first sign of throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is wishing Onyeama, speedy recovery from Covid-19.
According to the president, Onyeama has been a tireless worker and a strong pillar of this administration.
Buhari also says Nigeria is eternally grateful for his diligence in attracting international support to defeat the pandemic and boost the economy.
