NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT DECLARES JUNE 12 PUBLIC HOLIDAY

Nigerian Democracy Day

The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 12, as public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day Celebration.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola announced this in a statement on behalf of the Federal Government.

In the statement signed by the permanent secretary in the ministry, Georgina Ehuriah, Aregbesola commended the heroes of democracy for their determination and sacrifice which brought about Democratic Governance in Nigeria.

He congratulated all Nigerians for entrenching democratic rule in the country and urged them to continue cherishing the selfless efforts made to attain democracy.

The Minister reassured citizens of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting #COVID-19 and again urged them to cooperate with the government in the containment of the virus.
