The Federal Government has announced the extension of the second phase of the eased lockdown for another four weeks.
The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force, PTF on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha disclosed this on Thursday during media briefing in Abuja.
This is the third extension for the second phase.
The PTF chairman revealed that the extension comes with some changes to address economic, socio-political, and health concerns, but the eased lockdown continues as well as the current nationwide curfew from 10pm- 6am.
Restrictions on recreational parks have been lifted for non-contact physical activities, despite the fact the ban on entertainment centres will be maintained.
He says the situation at the moment calls for a collective effort in the fight against the virus, so communities and leaders should do their part, as government improves on testing.
Meanwhile, on testing students before they resume school, the National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu says the PTF does not endorse that.
