NIGERIA #COVID19 CASES RISE ABOVE 7,000

Nigeria has recorded 339 new cases of #COVID19 in 18 states, bringing the total to 7,016 in 34 states of the country, plus the FCT.

Meanwhile, Kogi and Cross Rivers states are without any record of the virus.

1907 patients have fully recovered and discharged, while 211 deaths recorded, and so the number of active cases is 4,898.

According to the information released at 11.59 pm, May 21, 2020, by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 139 of the new cases are in Lagos; 28 in Kano and Oyo; 25 in Edo; Katsina 22; Kaduna-18; Jigawa-14; Yobe and Plateau have 13 cases each.

While FCT has 11 cases, Gombe-8, Ogun-5, Bauchi and Nasarawa have 4 cases each.

Meanwhile, Delta has 3 cases, Ondo-2, Rivers and Adamawa have 1 case each.
