Governor Simon Lalong has admonished citizens to adhere strictly to the guidelines issued to curtail #COVID-19 virus.
This comes as his Chief of Staff, Noel Donjur tested positive to COVID-19 after the test that conducted for members of the State EXCO on 1st July 2020, following the Governor’s directive.
A statement signed by Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dan Manjang, said the outcome of the tests indicate that all other members of the State EXCO tested negative.
Although the Chief of Staff is asymptomatic and in good condition, health officials have started treatment for him at one of the isolation centres in the State capital Jos.
The statement added that members of his family and other contacts are being traced and tested.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff is encouraging people to submit to COVID-19 testing which is very important in unveiling cases and leading to treatment.
