BUHARI ASSURES OF JOBS CREATION, AS OSINBAJO REVEALS UNEMPLOYMENT MAY RISE

PRESIDENT BUHARI APPLAUDS THE MEDIA, ASKS FOR TACKLING OF UNHEALTHY FAKE NEWS

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians of Government’s efforts towards reducing the economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the country and citizens.

The Economic Sustainability Committee, ESC, led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, had on Thursday revealed the finding that unemployment may rise to 33.6%.

That is about 39.4 million people may be unemployed by the end of 2020, with millions more to fall extreme Poverty, before the pandemic ends, if the country fails to take prompt preventive measures.

President Buhari in his Democracy Day Speech this morning assured of the government’s efforts to reduce the number of unemployed citizens in all the 774 local government areas of the country and support businesses.
