In an inaugural speech at the swearing-in ceremony for another five-year term of the re-elected President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, he disclosed his resolve to boost the industrial chain in Africa in ensuring the actualization of sustainable development goals in Africa.
He stressed that he will be the President for all.
Also, he pledged to deepen African investment forum as a critical driver to drive entrepreneurship of Africa emphasizing that African youths have to stay in Africa, build Africa and project Africa as he is poised to accelerate job creation through the activities of the AFDB with focus on economic, quality and health infrastructure development through Financial, knowledge and investment partnerships to support the need of the continent
Recall that Adesina, Nigeria’s former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, was re-elected last week after getting a hundred per cent votes of all regional and non-regional members of the Bank.
He said, it is yet another call for selfless service to Africa and the African Development Bank, to which he will passionately devote myself.
