ALGERIA RECORDS FIRST CASE OF CORONAVIRUS

Algeria on Thursday confirmed its first death from the coronavirus.

The health ministry announced that the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country has risen 24 with the five new cases.

It also said two of the new cases confirmed on Thursday, are Algerians who had been in France, with three others being treated in a hospital in the southwest of Algiers, the country’s capital.

The health ministry urged Algerians with plans to travel to countries with COVID-19 to suspend their trips as much as possible.
